With the economy in recession, people who are out of work are finding it harder to get jobs. They’re competing against thousands of other people who are applying and going to job fairs and trying to find some work to support their families. Employers are looking through piles of resumes and sifting out the people they want to choose to interview for jobs. First impressions are lasting impressions, and a resume could make or break the chance to get a job.

That’s where job placement businesses can thrive in the current economy. They can advise people on how to present themselves at an interview and help them write resumes that look professional and appealing. People may have highly trained skills in accounting or medicine but not know how to write a proper resume. So they will, hopefully, seek help from someone who does know all about writing one and making a good impression on an interviewer. [click to continue…]

I got it; this must be a car that turns into a flash drive! Ya right, actually this $19,000 flash drive is just a plain old drive with 640 GB of storage! Don’t worry; if that isn’t enough storage for you, the manufacturer has made it easy to upgrade the storage if needed.  In all actuality, I don’t know what a person would put on a drive half this size!

The oversized piece of computer equipment is called the ioDrive.  And this drive can get about 600 Mbytes/sec sustained write speed.  Aren’t we just becoming spoiled with speed?  Computers getting faster, internet getting faster, and now with our flash drives moving at the speed of light, who knows what speedy device will come out next!  But you must wait for your spendy flash drive, because they do not come out until 2008.  And who knows, maybe at that price you get the girl as well!

It’s a teddy bear … no, it’s a flash drive!

I find myself searching the term “flash drive” about four times a week and each time I look them up I find something a little weirder.  Don’t get me wrong, flash drives are great devices, but I think some manufacturers might scare small children with their drives. For example, there are Barbie dolls that turn [...]
